Guests must hop on a ferry to get to this four-star spa resort on Divar Island. Run by Accor under the Mercure brand, Devaaya has 56 air-conditioned rooms spread through 5 acres of landscaped gardens by the Mandovi river. One can expect a relaxed getaway with international standards of service and modern amenities in secluded surroundings. The property is kitted out with facilities that help guests reconnect with the outdoors such as a jogging track, a meditation and yoga pavilion, lawns, fishing gear and riverboating options. Veda, the spa offers a broad range of wellness packages rooted either in Ayurveda or naturopathy. Guests can enjoy a meal at the riverside deck restaurant, Jetty. The resort has two other restaurants, Manos – focused on seafood and non-vegetarian meals and Malar – a pure vegetarian restaurant.
