Review and recommendations
A beautifully restored 100-year-old Goan home, Amrapali presents four ornate bedrooms with views of either its gardens, the pool or the Zuari river in Old Goa. Designed to make guests feel like they are at home, rooms come with unique features like a free-standing copper bathtub, a four-poster bed, or in one home, a Moroccan-inspired lounge area. The owner Simran Kaur also happens to have trained in patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu. At the property’s stunning waterfront café, guests can indulge in a bespoke menu and sample gourmet desserts. The food incorporates Spanish, French, and Mediterranean flavours with local ingredients. If they wish, guests can look forward to a poolside barbeque, a picnic on Siridao beach or sailing lessons at Bambolim bay. Massage therapists do house calls here if you seek a more relaxing stay indoors.
