Our Heritage trails give you a blend of Vintage Goa, portraying its rich heritage, social and cultural aspects. We capture the various essences of Goa through the holy sites and hidden caves in Divar Island, visiting the architectural works like old villas and buildings in the Portuguese area, enjoying the Latin music performed by a renowned artist during the Fontainhas Walking Tour and trying out local cuisine
We take you to meet indigenous people of the land to partake in their customs and traditions. Meeting people who have a very distinct culture helps you realise your own biases and dissipate cultural differences. We travel to the Nilgiris to interact with the Toda tribe, travel through Gujarat to unravel the mysteries of the Indus valley civilization, connect with the Lamas in Ladakh to understand the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism and learn traditional art forms from artists in Bihar.
Sketching is an awesome way to experience slow travel. You take note of finer details as you draw at a location and you get to feel the place- its architecture, its people, the cuisine and aromas all which get imprinted in a sketch. We provide you with the opportunity to sketch in the bustling city of Bangalore as well at our exotic destinations - Goa, Bylakuppe and Badami
Everything is better when shared and so is travel. Our travel socials are meetups with fellow travellers to share your passion, unfold tales, make new travel buddies and create memorable experiences. Every meetup is curated around a theme from slow travel, culinary arts, alternate lifestyles, dance, music, photography etc. Our presenters are inspiring people we have met during our journeys and they will share their special interpretation of travel.
India is a land of diverse cultures and myriad festivals. During festivals communities share amongst themselves and the world, their unique interpretation of traditional customs, values, mythos and legends. We take you to join in the celebrations of some of the exotic festivals celebrated in the country from tribal festivals in the northeast of India to the reverenced Buddhist festivals in the Himalayas and Portuguese festive traditions in Goa.

We had a wonderful time attending Bonderam'16. It was our first trip to Goa and we are glad to witness this colourful cultural event. Romeo was wonderful as a host, and we really enjoyed his company. Thanks for the wonderful arrangement, and we look forward to returning to Goa soon :)
The tour itenerary of Spiti Valley was very well executed . The hotels especially the campsite arrange was a very good experience, together with beautiful scenery and lovely food all made for a perfect holiday. We are all thankful to the cab driver Mr.Ashish, who had driven very well throughout the tour. Overall a great tour which can never be forgotten . We wish 'Make It Happen' very best for the coming years.
Thanks for a memorable heritage walk in Fontainhas. We need more folks like you to scrape off the surface and showcase the rich history, cultural legacy and the offbeat and quirky elements that make up communities: this walk was absolutely the highlight of my visit to Goa. I was moved by the Fado by Chico Fonseca at sunset, so so grateful for all of this!
Heartfelt compliments to our guide Ms. Ann Barretto. Absolutely loved the walk with the proud local lady who was telling us about history and families behind the beautiful houses of Fontainhas. Such wonderful and positive lady to whose stories one could listen for days
Hey Make it happen team, just been to HImachal road trip you bad organised.. I must say , you are doing good as travel designers. The trip was well organised. I have to.say special thanks to Maria, who was extremely active & Helpful Throughout the trip. The trip plan was well thought of. But one suggestion , for covering simla as well in this trip , you should add 2-3 days more to the original itinerary or only spiti can be covered in 7 days n another 4 days for covering shimla as the road journey can become taxing for some people. Also some may suffer AMS. :) that's all for now. We had fun!! Would love to join again for your future programs.
These guys are one of the best I have met so far. Going for their events is not about a trip/trek, with "Make it Happen" its more of a "experience" they ensure you have lasting memories of every moment spent with them. Murali is such a energetic and experienced guy he leaves no room for errors.
Thank you Maria for organising a wonderful trip to Nagaland to cover the hornbill festival. Kept in mind to do more tours with you in future.
I have had a great fortune to travel with make it happen on road trip to himachal with my 4 friends. Maria, the owner of make it happen was with us on entire trip. She was very knowledgeable and genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with us. The hotels/tents were nice, and nicely chosen to add more adventure in trip. Vehicle was absolutely nice with a perfect skilled driver. Trip was awesome with the perfect management of maria. Unfortunately i had to come back in the middle of the tour due to some urgency at my home. But the days i spent on tour was fabulous. Thanks to maria, and cheers to make it happen !!
Wonderful way to spend a late afternoon in Fontainhas, Goa. Thanks to my informative and fun guide, Maxie Miranda - I’ve seen parts of Goan culture that would have been unknown to me without his knowledge and enthusiasm. This is a wonderful service that all tourists to the region should consider. You can do booked tours with a group, or join the well-priced scheduled tours. I’ll be doing others next time I am in Goa.
Hi Maria, Hope your doing good!! Below are the pros and cons for the event organised "Scuba Splash" dated 26/04/2014. Pros: 1. Quick response by the event organizer, your queries won't go into limbo. 2. No unwanted surprises. 3. Clients are really friendly, highly skilled with core experience. 4. If possible try to bring down the cost of training, was a bit costly, I somehow managed as it was a great experience. Cons: 1. Not having a complete control on the event's location, overlapping of timings with other training activities, hence had to wait for 1.5 hours for my scuba diving training to kick off. 2. Please prepare a draft of payment process, since it was stuck in my case as I didn't release the payment. You must get paid for your services on time and specially when the service was so good. Please do take good care about this issue. Well Maria, since you work all alone (which is a tough nut to crack), cons mentioned does happen, I didn't mind but your other customers may mind. Keep up the good work, come up with some offers to attract more customers. It's just a start between us, I am sure you will never disappoint me with your work ethics. Best wishes for your business, you are a nice lady. Regards, Abhinav
I have attended two different programs with 'Make it Happen', Scuba Diving and Nepal tour. 1. Scuba Diving - The one I attended was an indoor program [not open water :-) ] It was first for me to attend a scuba course. I liked the program so much that I attended two sessions at different times. It was conducted in St Joseph's College pool. Everything was handled so very professionally that we choose MIH [Make It Happen] to plan our next vacation. 2. Nepal Trip - We wanted to visit Nepal [1st for my wife and I]. Here too we were very impressed with all the arrangement done by MIH that we ran out of words for the team. Everything, places to visit, stay, transportation, local tours, the partners that MIH worked with at the other end, food - all were perfect to our liking. We will take help from MIH to plan our next trip also :-)
I took the Fontainhas tour in May, our guide Alirio was a living relic of the place. Inspite of me and my family being Goan we barely knew the subtleties of the place. The small cafes around were a good stop over to get a quick Portuguese inspired Goan bite. I hope and pray that the villas in Fontainhas are conserved even if the state has to pay for it as they are an essential part of Goan heritage!!
Hi M, the Bonderam tour was fab, had a great time!! Romeo entertained us so well with his stories and info!
Thank you 'Make it Happen' team for a fabulous heritage walk through Fontainhas and the Latin Quarters of Goa! We had been to Goa many times before, but this was the first time we got to experience this beautiful, magical, hidden side of Goa that we never knew existed. We were lucky to have musician and guitarist Maxie Miranda as our guide! We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the narrow alleys of Panjim and Maxie's historical accounts took us back in time! The tour concluded with some beautiful Portuguese music by Maxie! Thanks so much and keep up the good work....
