What is the best time for kayaking?
Early mornings & evenings. Time slots beyond 8:30am are not ideal.
I have never done kayaking before, how long does it take to get the hang of it?
Donu2019t worry, kayaking is easy and you will get the hang of it within 5-10 minutes. Our kayaking experience is done around the Khazan lands where the tides are easy to handle. For first timers we practice turning and stopping till you get the technique right before heading out.
Should we keep specific health conditions in mind before signing up?
People with severe lower back problems and severe knee issues might find it difficult to sit on the Kayak for the whole duration of the experience.
What are the typical group sizes?
The average group comprises 6 people.
Are the experience timings flexible?
No. Unfortunately, the dates and timings of the experience are dependent on the tide. The high tide calendar keeps changing everyday - so the exact timing of the experience will be fixed based on the high tide schedule for that particular day. We will still need to start before 8:00am as there is plenty to discover at the sanctuary beyond birds - including the fascinating mangroves and exotic fauna.
Is the experience kid friendly?
Yes, absolutely. We always pair 1 adult to accompany each child to help maintain the kayaku2019s weight balance.
Is kayaking a physically challenging activity?
Kayaking is not a very strenuous physical activity.
I cannot swim. Is it safe for me to participate in this experience?
Absolutely. The currents at the location of kayaking are not risky at all. To reassure you, our experience is also led by a trained rescue diver, so we always have your back!
Can we carry beers or alcohol during the experience?
