A traditional wedding dessert, BOL is made of jaggery, coconut, coarse ground wheat, cardamom powder, toddy and salt. Left to ferment overnight, it is baked thereafter. Once ready, it hardens but once bitten, it is soft inside. Stays well at room temperature for a week and if refrigerated, it stays even longer. Greatly recommended if you take your High tea or coffee time rather seriously and prefer something subtly sweet to go with your favorite beverage.
