Let us take you on a tour of Rajasthan, the likes of which might surprise even the most seasoned travellers. Off the beaten path, Make It Happen is carving new inroads to Nawalgarh, a town in the Jhunjhunu district. Nawalgarh is famous for its fresco and havelis and is considered the Golden City of Rajasthan. It is also the motherland of some of the greatest business families of India.

On this trip you will experience some of the quintessentially Rajasthani activities like a camel safari in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer in the formidable Thar Desert. Day 1: Drive to Nawalgarh in the Sekhawati region of Rajasthan (6.5 hours) from Delhi.
Nawalgarh: Take a village walk and visit ancient houses, forts and temples. There are more than 200 ancient havelis in Nawalgarh. Fresco work at these havelis are worth a visit.

Day 2: Leave for Bikaner (4 hours), the desert city, the most arid part of Rajasthan.
Enjoy the unique eateries of Bikaner and walk along the sand dunes of this desert city.
Visit the majestic Junagarh Fort and National Research Centre on Camels (also a camel breeding farm). Visit the camel museum.

Day 3: Camel riding, rat worship and the Silent Village
Drive out of Bikaner (3 hours) and stop over at the Karni Mata Temple, where thousands of rats are worshipped and spotting a white rat is considered to bring good fortune. Enter the silent village of Bhap and go on a village walk and return for some rest and relaxation. The evening can be spent riding camels and having dinner looking over the vast expanse of the Thar Desert.
Overnight stay in Bhap.

Day 4: Leave for the beautiful deserted landscape to Jaisalmer (4 hours).
Arrive and proceed to the hotel near the Jaisalmer Fort.
Late afternoon: Visit the Khuri Sand dunes for a camel ride and see the sun setting over the desert landscape. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 5: Golden Fort explorations and its havelis.
Morning: Guided tour of the Golden Fort, Jain Temple, Gadisar tank and nearby Havelis.
Afternoon: Free time. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 6: On the way to Jodhpur (6.5 hours)
We visit Pokaran, a traditional pottery village where we see old family businesses still in practice. Drive into the blue city of Jodhpur. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 7: Taking on Mehrangarh Fort
Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, the backdrop of this city. Visit the clock tower and explore the bazaar street that resembles the markets of the 1500s. Overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 8: Homeward Bound
Transfer to airport/railway station for flight out.
