Ethnic Jambughoda

Jambughoda is a forest district of Central Gujarat dominated by Rathwa Tribes followed by Nayaks. The world famous tribal fair, Gher of Kawant happens just 50 km form Jambughoda. This is a very ethnic district which is also a wild life century. This is an adobe for travellers interested in birding, wildlife, people and spiritual photography, etc. Learning many stories on the wall size Pithora Painting will take you through the culture of Rathwa tribes. We work with the local community and potter to improve their livelihood through tourism. The famous UNESCO declared World Heritage. Champaner is close to Jambughoda. Here one can notice the real evidence of Indo Islamic Architecture. What more, this site is blessed to on the foot hills of Pavagadh. One of the 52 Shaktipiths of Goddess Parvati. You will find a harmony of Spirituality, Architecture and Nature in this land. Come and feel it.

Day 1: Vadodara – Jambugoda Sactuary
Pick up from Vadodara and check in the Hotel . Have lunch at the Hotel. Post Lunch visit Jambhughoda Sanctuary. You will explore the lifestyle of the tribes of this region. These are the Rathwa Tribes and the Bariyas. They will give you a warm welcome and then show you around. A local village host will take you to visit the Manganese Caves. The shape of these caves suggests that they were viharas which were in use as early as 1st and 2nd centuries AD.

Then depart for Najarmata Temple. This is a unique temple inside the cave. On the way, explore variety of forest birds of this region. This century has more than 250 variety of birds. You can then visit the Hathni Mata Waterfall and then explore the Pithora Painting. The Native Art of Rathwa Tribes

Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 2: Pavangad Temple – Champaner
Post breakfast the hotel visit to Pavagadh (Option of Walking up the hill or take paid rope way ride on actual). Visit to the temple and take blessings of Goddess and return. Learn the story of this temple from our local community tribe.
